Best Boot Forward

There’s got to be a Carrie Bradshaw figure lurking in my past lives somewhere. I’ve got a slight obsession with shoes. And bags. And coats…and, well you get the picture. However, I live in a cold weather climate; therefore, two separate wardrobes are necessary. Do I see a problem with this? Not really.
The issue that sprung to mind while I was running errands today was that my beautiful dress shoes provide less than adequate traction and insulation. It’s not like I’m saving avalanche victims or climbing snowy peaks, but something with a little more substance would be appreciated. If I were saving avalanche victims, I would want them to wonder where they could get my boots, though.
No matter what climate you hail from, chances are you’ll need something along the lines of a winter shoe, too. So I’ve put together a collection of my favourites for our mutual inspiration.
